RONNIE LAND

Fueled by the Fire of Elvis Presley and Influenced by such Groups and Acts -
such as The Beatles, The Eagles, Elton John, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valen,
UFO, AC-DC, The Who, Journey, Bryan Adams, Chuck Berry and Jimi Hendrix –

Although ~ Ronnie’s Influences commenced from a strong Contribution to his Original Musical Scores.

Ronnie mentioned he’s always strived for an “Original Style” of his own, since the day he started writing his own songs.

Ronnie - started singing in the 6th grade, when a School friend recommended
that he try out for the School play,
after hearing him sing in the boys room.

The Play turned out to be –
“The Broadway Musical -West Side Story”.

As fate may have it, Ronnie landed the lead role as "Tony" and led the play into a successful two week show.

It quickly became clear,
that Ronnie wanted to be a Singer.

Ronnie was brought up,
listening to the sounds of Motown -
The Jackson Five, The Osmond’s and Legendary groups of the 1950's,
such as The Temptations,
Little Anthony & The Imperials,
Chuck Berry, Frankie Valli
& The Four Seasons,
You name it - if it was anything that made you sing & dance he loved it!

Although, rock was not always at the top of the list for Ronnie,
It wasn't until his move to the -
San Francisco,Bay Area.

When he re-united with his
Cousin Bobby Morales,
who took Ronnie to his first Rock Concert "Winterland" - in San Francisco,
a show till this day he remembers
and will never forget!

The Concerts bill was Max Webster,
Rush, Hush & UFO.

After that Concert -
Ronnie Remembers it well!
It was amazing... it was like getting
on Jet Plane for a quick ride....
That's when Ronnie knew he wanted to
Rock!

In Regards to Ronnie Land’s -
Second Solo CD - "ALL OF ME",
Who chose to do two Cover Tunes -
He Mentions that, the Song "ALL OF ME” - was perfect for the opening song
on the CD!
Although his intention for the title
of the CD ~ was no credit from the song.

It was due to the fact that he
played and recorded all the instruments on the CD - except for the drums,
which he programmed on a drum machine.
It did not dawn on him,
till he had already picked the song.
Ronnie - use to sing it on his set list,
when he played the hospital circuit,
for the recovering patients.

Ronnie recalls - how the patients loved it!
they would all sing along...(;o

Ronnie mentions that he picked
Elvis Presley's "Jail House Rock",
for the second cover song,
because he always loved to sing,
that song live!
He said something happens to an audience when they hear that song,
It just moves them!
